Discover the Sheffield Doc/Fest outdoor free screen showcasing shorts and feature documentaries from around the world.
Situated off Howard Street, this is available for the enjoyment of the general public as well as the festival delegates.
The free screen programme will feature films from across the programme strands, including a number of short films that have been made by Sheffield artists and supported by Making Ways. Look out films including a showcase of Feature Walls, the city wide street art festival which was curated by B&B Editions (aka Florence Blanchard and Kid Acne); Patience by Whistle Video about Andrew Hunt’s artwork and exhibition at Yorkshire Artspace last year; The Desire Paths, documenting Third Angel’s piece in Tudor Square; A Nomad’s Tale on Richard Bartle’s residency in Turkey exploring the creation of his latest body of work; and The Waves by Maud Haya-Baviera (as part of Global Citizens 2), following the artist's search for personal testimonies of individuals born after their parents’ exile from Spain to France under General Francisco Franco and questioning the legacy of the Spanish Civil War.
