In this workshop you will explore the materiality of 16mm film – marking, scratching, drawing and manipulating the celluloid in various ways before running the film through a projector and viewing the colourful abstract results at the end of the session.
Together, participants will create a collective visual and audio portrait inspired by Rhea Storr’s use of 16mm film in Subjects of State, Labours of Love, currently exhibiting at Site Gallery.
This workshop is suitable for audiences aged 6+. Intergenerational collaboration is encouraged.
The session will have a hands-on drawing element and a screening of everybody’s creations at the end. There are 20 places available.
